Keyword related actions
Adding keywords
We encourage you to undertake optimisation actions throughout the campaign: you can modify keywords, change match type, add new keywords and negative keywords. Next to each ad you will find an ‘add new keywords’ button. It leads you to a form, through which you can enter new keywords.
All keywords should be set in separate lines, their match type should be chosen. Placing a keyword in quotes " " means a phrase match type - keywords have to appear in the exact sequence in order for the campaign to be displayed.
Placing a keyword inside square brackets [ ] means an exact match type. The ad will be displayed only if the exact phrase is typed into the search engine.
Adding a word without brackets and quotes means a broad match type - the ad will be displayed on all searches including the keyword.
On adding, keywords have a special status - they await approval. When the campaign supervisor approves the keywords they change their status to active and the ad starts to show in search results.
Blocking keywords
Under the keyword table you have access to a number of tools that enable keyword management.
You can block a keyword by clicking the ‘block/unblock’ link. If you block a keyword your ad will stop showing on that keyword.
Match type change
You can change the match type at any chosen moment of the campaign without losing the ad's position. To change the match type you have to choose a keyword, use the ‘change match type’ button and choose one of the available types (broad, exact, phrase).
Exporting keywords
Throughout the campaign you can create new ads and move keywords. To move (a) chosen keyword(s) to another ad you have to choose the keywords, click the ‘export keywords’ link and choose the ad. The keyword(s) will be moved to the new ad together with statistics generated until the export.
Adding URLs for keywords
You can assign a different URL to each keyword. Those specific URLs will lead to websites related to the specific keywords. Adding an URL is possible after entering a specific ad - search results folder. After choosing a specific keyword you have to choose keyword settings and enter the matching URL.
Setting separate CPC
You can choose a different CPC for each keyword. It is possible after entering a specific ad - search results folder. After choosing a specific keyword you have to choose keyword settings and enter the declared CPC.
